A basket filled with vintage wooden darning eggs and assorted sewing and mending tools. Rounded wooden forms like these were placed inside socks, stockings or other garments to hold the fabric taut while holes were repaired by hand. Once an ordinary household necessity, darning tools recall a time when worn clothing was routinely mended rather than replaced.
