General FAQ's
- 01An estate sale is not limited to situations involving a death or a wealthy household, as many people tend to believe. It simply refers to selling a substantial portion of the contents of a home.
- 02Not completely. You're welcome to contact us while your family is still making decisions. Before we can approve and schedule an estate sale, however, we'll need a reasonably clear understanding of which items will remain. Because we evaluate a potential sale based on the overall quantity, quality, and value of its contents, please let us know if family members are still deciding what they plan to keep.
- 03Family members should decide which items they plan to keep before the estate sale agreement is signed. This allows us to accurately evaluate the contents that will remain for the sale, items being kept do not necessarily need to be removed immediately but they should be clearly identified and removed before we begin setup and pricing. We recommend establishing a family deadline to remove the items they wish to keep avoiding confusion or last-minute changes.
- 04Yes. As long as the home is within our Phoenix Metro service area, we can work with clients who live outside Arizona. Much of the communication and planning can be handled by phone, email, photographs, and electronic documents. We’ll also explain which decisions or authorizations may require your direct involvement.
- 05No. The client decides what will be included. Personal belongings, keepsakes, documents, and items reserved for family members should be removed or clearly identified before setup begins.
- 06Usually, no. It is best to speak with us before spending money or removing items. We can help you determine the appropriate order based on the condition of the home, its contents, and your plans for the property.
- 07After the sale, the family may choose to keep any remaining items. For qualifying homes of 2,500 square feet or less, our service includes clearing out the remaining donatable items. Two-story homes, larger properties, additional spaces, or unusually extensive clear-outs may require an additional fee based on the volume and scope involved. We’ll review everything with you beforehand so you know what to expect.
- 08Timing depends on the size and condition of the estate, your family’s readiness, our schedule, and any deadlines involving the home. It is helpful to contact us as early as possible. even if you are not ready to schedule the sale yet.
